I've had the pleasure of serving in several print and web publishing positions at various publications and media outlets in Texas. I believe my experience — inside and outside of the newsrooms where I have been employed — makes me a good fit for your next design or publishing project.
I have utilized the following software to accomplish web design goals: Microsoft FrontPage, Netscape Composer, Macromedia DreamWeaver, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, Adobe Flash CS3, Adobe Acrobat, Caspio Bridge databases, MySQL, Paint.net, WordPress, Moveable Type, Plogger, Brightcove (streaming video), SmartFTP and other similar protocols, Joomla!, the Chronicle Online News Environment Content Management System (an in-house CMS for chron.com) and Notepad.
I have worked with the following web languages: HTML, XHTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript.
I have used the following print media software for publications: Adobe InDesign CS3, Adobe InCopy, Adobe Acrobat, Quark Xpress, Aldus PageMaker, Adobe PageMaker, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Office including Word, FileMaker Pro and OpenOffice suite.
I have edited audio and video using Sonic Foundry Vegas, Cool Edit Pro, Adobe Premier, Camtasia and Windows Movie Maker.
I am familiar with various computer systems including Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista; Macintosh OS 9.x and X.
